Tanakh

The Greek Septuagint translated it as the “Pentateuch”. The English translation took the Latin Vulgate translation and called the “Old Testament”.

The divisions here are based on the Jewish Scriptures.

B’rit Chadashah

In the English Bibles this is called the “New Testament”.
